Beagles are one of the best types of dogs to have as a pet, just ask our two children 5 and 15.
Hunting dogs (well, yes, they were bred for that) tear rabbits and hares, yes, but bad publicity is a something that Beagle can not happen, as with any breed of animal, there is always a bad over there (the same as humans I suppose!)
Ours is a crazy and adorable dog, stand on his leg by accident and not get bitten, he runs a little more. The fact was when we came to buy another dog (you know you look at all different races, whether in shops, parks and country fairs game, I'm sure some people must have thought we were decided to steal their dog at a time when all four family members to begin reviewing animals and coos of joy come from our children to see the dogs and in real situations is the best way to see how they interact with many different situations. A large children is particularly important when having a home, as if a dog is bought from the pound would have had a bad experience with a child and thus be with aggressive children.
We visited a breeder for Scooby and was shown to his parents and grandparents, and even had our son who sniff had only a few weeks time (I must say that I felt totally safe with all of them into a pack of dogs is not something that I had done before, but happy to have done). Scooby is a great song full of love and affection for everyone he some do not like when people (good judge of character in most cases) and I am sure that if push came to shove he would protect us if someone just trying to hurt a family member.

My husband is trying to blame me and say that after buying the manual that Beagle obedience everyone, including the poor dog is confused (the book is Amercian and the words do not always have the same meaning as in England such as "Down" means to get to America, while "Down" means based here for most dogs and owners. Also "lie" means to lie, try and say that if our five years, tells us not to say Scooby-ie untruths (I ask you what you suppossed to do?) Even Scooby accumulate food and ate the sticky note pad with the words training on this subject.
Sage maintenance a doddle, no wet hair after a long walk in the rain, as the coat seems fair to rid of quick brush once a week, and his fur is back in A1 condition (no high maintenance costs here, no cuts, or cut dematting). Do not even have to have his nails cut (although at the age of 5 years of almost six years, he has not yet).
Sociable and friendly are words that sum up Scooby, I'm sure the whole family would agree.
